Origin-Destination Survey,
Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA)
Responsible for the day-to-day management
and conduct of the origin-destination survey for 50% of the
JTA’s fixed bus routes. Over 30,000 surveys were handed out
and over 15,000 completed surveys were returned. TPG was
responsible for coding the survey responses and developing a
database for the coded responses. The information will be
used by the JTA in future mass transit planning for the
Jacksonville Urbanized Area.
Transportation Alternative Study
(East/Southwest Study), (JTA)
Responsible for assessing the traffic
impacts of roads in the East/Southwest Corridor and assisting
with the public involvement activities associated with the
Study. The results of the traffic impact analyses of area roads
will be used to determine alignment alternatives for the
proposed light/bus rapid transit system in the Jacksonville
area. Developed and implemented the East/Southwest Corridor
Study Speaker’s Bureau.
Transportation Alternatives Study
(North/Southeast Corridor Study) JTA)
Responsible for assessing the traffic
impacts in the North/Southeast Corridor. Analyzed the various
highway links, intersections and interchanges to determine
levels of service and alternative alignments for the
implementation of the light rail/bus rapid transit system in the
Jacksonville area. Prepared the final report documenting the
alignment analysis process.
RTS Phase 1 Study, JTA
Responsible for data collection and
assisting with public involvement and traffic analyses.
